From Nokia phones to the world's first HMD smartwatches with a camera on Wear OS
31.05.2025 | 17:10 |HMD Global, known for Nokia phones, is entering the smartwatch market with two models running Wear OS: the HMD Rubber 1 and Rubber 1S. The main feature is that the Rubber 1 will have a 2-megapixel camera — a first for Wear OS devices.
The HMD Rubber 1 will be equipped with a 1.85-inch OLED display, a 400 mAh battery, USB-C support, and Qi wireless charging. Among its features are 5 ATM water resistance, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, NFC, as well as heart rate, blood oxygen level, and step tracking. The camera will likely be positioned above the display.
The HMD Rubber 1S will offer a 1.05-inch OLED display and a 290 mAh battery. It will also feature 5 ATM water resistance, Bluetooth 5.0, and Wi-Fi.
