The festive mood is also felt in the city’s markets. Shoppers note the wide variety of goods and the bright decoration of the trading rows.
Vendors, in turn, report high demand for traditional products for the holiday table. The Turkmen people are known for their hospitality, and New Year tables are always set abundantly. Meat products are in particularly high demand, and trade is very active.
Despite the weather conditions, markets and shopping centers remain crowded. Trading areas are decorated with symbols of the coming year. For the Turkmen people, the Akhalteke horse is considered a national treasure, which is also reflected in the festive decoration of the city and marketplaces.
