Turkmen diplomats and students in Minsk gift children a festival of friendship
29.05.2025 | 22:05 |The Embassy of Turkmenistan in Minsk organized a cordial event at the Republican Rehabilitation Center for Children with Disabilities, dedicating it to the International Year of Peace and Trust. The meeting was held in an atmosphere of warmth and amity, providing the children with joyful moments and new insights into Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by the Director of the Center, Lyudmila Kondrashova, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Belarus, Nazarguly Shagulyyev, a representative of the CIS Executive Committee, Yelena Shamal, Embassy staff, and Turkmen students studying in Belarus.
Director Lyudmila Kondrashova, in her opening remarks, expressed sincere gratitude to the guests for their attention and care towards the children under the center's care. She noted that through this initiative, the children were able to connect with the culture, traditions, and peaceful policy of Turkmenistan. She also shared her impressions of participating in the International Conference in the city of Arkadag, dedicated to issues of peace and trust in the name of children.
To acquaint the children with Turkmenistan, vibrant photo exhibitions were organized, showcasing the country's rich history, decorative and applied arts, picturesque nature, and modern architecture.
Ambassador Nazarguly Shagulyyev warmly spoke to the children about the national heritage and values of Turkmenistan, emphasizing the profound respect for historical legacy, distinctive culture, traditions of hospitality, and the friendliness of the Turkmen people. A specially prepared video presentation demonstrated the impressive achievements of Turkmenistan during its years of neutrality.
Turkmen students from Minsk universities prepared a special treat for the children. Their melodious songs and the spirited national dance "Kusht Depdi" evoked genuine delight and smiles on the faces of the children and all those present.
Lyudmila Kondrashova provided information about the work of the center, which offers comprehensive assistance to children with disabilities. The guests learned about the medical, pedagogical, psychological, and social support provided, aimed at the adaptation and rehabilitation of the children.
This meeting served as yet another manifestation of friendship and the pursuit of peace and trust, providing the children of the Republican Rehabilitation Center with the joy of interaction and new positive experiences.
