Turkmenistan at the digital conference in Wuhan
17.05.2025 | 20:09 |The World Digital Education Conference, held in Wuhan from May 14 to 16, 2025, under the theme "Digital Transformation and Education Development: The Era of Intelligence" served as a pivotal international platform for discussing current trends in the digitalization of education. The forum was attended by representatives from over 100 countries, including an official delegation from Turkmenistan headed by the Deputy Minister of Education, Aleksandr Amanov. The conference provided a unique opportunity for the exchange of experience, the coordination of efforts in developing standards and methodologies for the digital transformation of educational systems, and familiarization with advanced technologies at a specialized exhibition.
During the plenary session, the representative of Turkmenistan presented the national experience in the field of education digitalization, based on the implementation of the "Concept for the Development of Digital Education for 2017–2025". Successes in the introduction of electronic platforms, educational networks, electronic libraries, AR/VR technologies, and electronic management of educational institutions were demonstrated. Particular attention was paid to the developed and implemented electronic system for the analysis of educational data, which facilitates evidence-based decision-making in pedagogy and management, as well as the formation of individual learning paths.
The delegation of Turkmenistan showed particular interest in studying the Chinese experience, including the results of cooperation with leading pedagogical universities in China and the implementation of a joint roadmap with the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education. The Turkmen side expressed its readiness for cooperation within the framework of international initiatives aimed at the development of digital education. Participation in the conference allowed Turkmenistan to strengthen international ties, gain access to advanced educational technologies, and contribute to the global agenda of digital transformation in education, which will form the basis for the further development of the national education system in accordance with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
