Oriented on making people closer

A jazz performance, poised to become a significant musical event for the capital, will be held in Ashgabat. On the evenings of May 23rd and 24th, the "Turkmenistan" Cinema and Concert Center will open its doors to connoisseurs of this refined genre.

The concert program features iconic compositions and timeless hits from the repertoire of great masters whose names are inscribed in the history of world music: Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Michael Bublé, and other luminaries of the jazz scene. These melodies, imbued with the spirit of jazz nostalgia, promise to evoke profound emotions and immerse listeners in the world of a musical genre esteemed for its complexity, history, and elegant style.

Renowned performers will grace the stage: the charismatic soloist Dovran Shammyyev, Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Vladimir Mkrtumov, the virtuoso and discerning jazz expert Aram Bezikyan, as well as a harmonious and expressive jazz orchestra under the baton of the talented conductor Kovus Bashimov. The author and creative manager of the project is Mahri Shammyyeva.

The collective aims not only to captivate audiences with their artistry but also to contribute to the development of the country's concert culture by offering viewers a new format for musical events.

Particular attention is being paid to creating the evening's atmosphere. The Melek Art House team of decorators is working on the stage design, promising to complement the musical performance with exquisite visual accents. Organizational support is provided by the private enterprise Sanly Hasap.

This show is merely the opening note in a new chapter. The organizers are full of plans to enrich the cultural life of Turkmenistan with new formats of musical events designed to inspire both audiences and musicians.
