 Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan arrived in Kyrgyzstan on a working visit

On April 22, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Kyrgyzstan as part of a tour of Central Asian countries.

The distinguished guest was met at the Issyk-Kul International Airport by President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

As reported on the website of the President of Kyrgyzstan, bilateral talks between Sadyr Japarov and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as a visit to a number of cultural events are planned as part of the visit.

On Tuesday, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Sadyr Japarov visited the Rukh-Ordo cultural center in Cholpon-Ata.

Minister of Culture, Information and Youth Policy Mirbek Mambetaliev gave a short tour of the complex, telling the story of the creation of an open-air museum on the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul.

During a walk around the center, the guests of honor examined the pier, made in the form of a national musical instrument. Here they were shown the skill of playing the komuz. Afterwards, Sadyr Japarov presented the distinguished guest with a komuz, a symbol of Kyrgyz musical culture, as reported on the website of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

Then the President and the Chairman tasted kuurma tea during a demonstration of national treats. Later, they went to a radon spring located near the complex. There, President Sadyr Japarov spoke about the healing properties of the water, emphasizing that in the Issyk-Kul region there are thousands of such springs, known for their beneficial effects on health.

On April 23-24, the National Leader of the Turkmen people will visit the city of Samarkand on the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The agenda of the planned talks includes further strengthening of the Uzbek-Turkmen strategic partnership and expansion of multifaceted cooperation, primarily in the political, inter-parliamentary, trade and economic, transport and communications, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

There will also be an exchange of views on topical issues on the regional and international agenda, the press service of the President of Uzbekistan reports.
