On December 6, a ceremony was held at the Oguzkhan Palace Complex to present the commemorative medal of Turkmenistan to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, members of the government, heads of the country's military and law enforcement agencies, and velayat governors.
In honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was awarded the commemorative medal "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygynyň 30 ýyllygyna" and a set of commemorative plaques.
The corresponding resolution of the Mejlis was read by its head, Dunyagozel Gulmanova. The document emphasizes the head of state's enormous personal contribution to strengthening independence and sovereignty, as well as to the implementation of the country's foreign policy based on the doctrine of "Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace."
Addressing the ceremony participants, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov thanked them for their congratulations and said, "I view the jubilee medal presented during the International Year of Peace and Trust, on the occasion of International Neutrality Day, as an award to the entire Turkmen people."
Following the President, other senior officials also received the state award, including the Speaker of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of security agencies, and heads of velayat administrations.
At the end of the ceremony, Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and Defense Minister Begench Gundogdyev, on behalf of their departments, congratulated the President on the high state award and the publication of his new book, "Türkmenistanyň Bitaraplygy – parahatçylygyň we ynanyşmagyň aýdyň ýoly."
