The cultural heritage and economic achievements of Turkmenistan - at the World Expo in Osaka

Turkmenistan became the first nation to celebrate its National Day at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka on Monday, April 14th, which had opened the day prior. Turkmen artists impressed guests at the celebration with a spirited folk performance featuring songs and dances.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov participated in the ceremony, cutting the symbolic ribbon and, together with the Japanese Minister for Expo 2025, Ito Yoshitaka, and other representatives of the Japanese side, toured the exposition of the Turkmenistan pavilion.

Distinguished guests of the exhibition were presented with a 3D video showcasing the history and nature of Turkmenistan, its national heritage, economic and cultural potential, and priority directions for the country's development.

Exhibition participants also became acquainted with the Turkmen art of carpet weaving, inscribed by UNESCO on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as well as national brands such as Akhal-Teke horses and Alabay dogs.
