Girls from Turkmenistan will have the opportunity to participate in the launch of a satellite into lunar orbit

The international educational project ShakthiSAT, organized by Space Kidz India, is opening new horizons for girls from 108 countries, including Turkmenistan. Twelve thousand participants from around the world will receive a unique opportunity to undergo training in the field of space technologies and become part of a historic mission.

ShakthiSAT aims to develop STEM education among girls by providing practical knowledge in the areas of aerospace engineering, orbital mechanics, satellite design, and radio communications. The training program comprises over 120 hours of space technology instruction. Participants will be able to engage in interactive learning on the Zoho Learn platform and acquire practical knowledge in: satellite design, orbital mechanics, electronics and printed circuit board development, amateur radio and space communications, and applied mathematics and physics in aerospace engineering. New modules will be released every week or ten days and will include interactive assignments and tests.

Key project milestones:

April 18, 2025 — commencement of the first training module on the Zoho Learn platform.

January 2026 — finalists will travel to India for practical training.

September 2026 — launch of the ShakthiSAT satellite into lunar orbit with the support of ISRO.

Girls from Turkmenistan will be able to become part of a global team, connect with like-minded individuals, develop leadership and technical skills, and contribute to the future of space exploration. Program finalists will receive special certificates during a ceremony in India. Applications can be submitted now:
