Oriented on making people closer

On March 24, Ashgabat hosted a conference entitled "International Year of Peace and Trust: Triumph of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan" dedicated to the adoption of the Resolution "Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan" during the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly. The event, held at the Mekan Palace, became a platform for discussing the role of neutrality in strengthening international peace and trust.

The conference was attended by representatives of the government of Turkmenistan, the diplomatic corps, international organizations, scientists, students and the media.

The key point was the discussion of the significance of the UN resolution, which, according to the participants, is a confirmation of Turkmenistan's consistent peace-loving foreign policy. It was emphasized that the country's permanent neutrality serves not only national interests, but is also an important tool for maintaining regional and global security and stability.

Particular attention was paid to the fact that, on the initiative of Turkmenistan, 2025 was declared by the UN as the "International Year of Peace and Trust". This became a clear indication of recognition of the country's efforts in promoting global peace and sustainable development.

The conference focused on the Concept of Turkmenistan's activities and priorities in the International Year of Peace and Trust, reflecting the country's desire to consolidate the efforts of the world community based on mutual trust, dialogue and responsibility.

The conference participants agreed that Turkmenistan's neutrality policy has proven its effectiveness and compliance with the goals and values ​​of the UN, becoming an important contribution to the common cause of peace and security.
