Oriented on making people closer

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Tangryguly Atakhalliyev and the hyakims of all the velayats of the country, where key aspects of the development of the agro-industrial complex and the progress of work in the regions were discussed.

The hyakims of the velayats reported on current seasonal activities, in particular, on the ongoing care of wheat crops, including fertilizing with mineral fertilizers and watering. In all regions, active preparations are underway for the organized start of the cotton sowing campaign, potato and vegetable and melon crops are being cared for in accordance with agrotechnical standards.

Particular attention in the reports was paid to preparations for the spring greening campaign and the nationwide tree planting campaign aimed at improving the environmental situation in the country. The hyakims also reported on the progress of preparations for the celebration of the National Spring Festival and on the construction of cultural, social and industrial facilities scheduled for commissioning this year.

Deputy Prime Minister Atakhalliyev presented a summary report on the progress of seasonal agricultural work in the country, including the continuation of the care of wheat fields and preparation for the sowing of cotton. He also noted the efforts to increase the production of potatoes and vegetable and melon crops to ensure food abundance.

Summarizing the reports, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the key role of agriculture in ensuring food security in the country. He pointed out the need for further development of the industry using modern technologies and international experience, while maintaining national farming traditions.

The head of state gave a number of specific instructions regarding strict control over the preparation and sowing of cotton, compliance with agrotechnical standards when caring for all types of agricultural crops, timely payments to producers, as well as careful preparation for the spring greening campaign and the nationwide tree planting campaign.

The President instructed to ensure a high level of organization of events dedicated to the National Spring Festival, to take measures to saturate markets and stores with food during the holidays and to strengthen control over the progress of construction of planned facilities in the regions.

Thus, the working meeting of the President of Turkmenistan was devoted to a detailed discussion of the progress of spring field work, issues of landscaping and preparation for the upcoming festive events, which indicates the state's priority attention to the development of the agricultural sector and improving the standard of living of the population in the regions.
