Rainfall and a Drop in Temperatures Expected in Turkmenistan on September 1–4
Rain is expected in some parts of Turkmenistan from September 1 to 4, with thunderstorms possible in some areas. The precipitation will be associated with the influx of humid air masses from the southern and central parts of the Caspian Sea. Windy conditions are forecast in some areas of Balkan Province on September 1.
On Tuesday, September 1, rain and thunderstorms are possible in some areas of Balkan, Ahal and Dashoguz Provinces. In Balkan Province, wind gusts will reach 13–18 m/s in some areas.
Before dawn, temperatures in Dashoguz Province and the northern parts of Balkan and Lebap Provinces will be +15…+20°C, while in other regions they will be +21…+26°C. During the day, temperatures in Dashoguz Province will reach +23…+28°C, while in Balkan Province they will range from +23…+28°C to locally +27…+32°C. In Ahal and Lebap Provinces, temperatures will rise to +31…+36°C, and in Mary Province to +32…+37°C.
On Wednesday, September 2, the influx of cooler air masses will continue. Rain and thunderstorms are expected in some areas of Balkan and Ahal Provinces. Light local rain is also possible in Dashoguz Province and in the northern part of Lebap Province.
At night, temperatures in Dashoguz Province and the northern parts of Lebap, Ahal and Balkan Provinces will be +15…+20°C, while in other regions they will be +19…+24°C. During the day, temperatures in Dashoguz and Balkan Provinces will be +25…+30°C. In Ahal and Lebap Provinces, temperatures will range from +27…+32°C in the north to +31…+35°C in the south. In Mary Province, temperatures will be +30…+35°C.
On Thursday, September 3, nighttime temperatures in Dashoguz Province and the northern parts of Balkan and Lebap Provinces are expected to be +13…+18°C, while in other regions they will be +19…+24°C. During the day, temperatures in Dashoguz Province will be +25…+30°C; in the northern parts of Balkan, Ahal and Lebap Provinces, +27…+32°C; and in other regions, mainly +29…+34°C.

On Friday, September 4, no precipitation is expected. During the day, temperatures in Dashoguz Province and the northern parts of Balkan, Ahal and Lebap Provinces will be +28…+31°C, while in other regions they will be mainly +29…+34°C.

In Ashgabat, nighttime temperatures on September 1 are expected to be +23…+25°C, with daytime temperatures of +33…+35°C. Winds will strengthen to 8–13 m/s. From Tuesday through Thursday, there will remain a possibility of light local rain.
