5G: a new step towards digital transformation
26.02.2025 | 10:00 |In accordance with the directives of the Head of State to explore the advantages of 5G technologies and implement them in the city of Arkadag, cooperation and technological exchange have been established between the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency and the Chinese company "Huawei".
Currently, as a result of the work carried out by the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency, communication base stations have been obtained from the Chinese company "Huawei" for the pilot implementation of 5G technologies in the city of Arkadag.
As is known, a "smart city" is developed on the basis of innovative technologies. This occurs through cellular communication devices as a result of the introduction of advanced equipment on the technical and information basis of CJSC "Altyn Asyr".
The 5G Base station (BTS) is a transceiver station that operates on 5G mobile communication standards, which is an advanced solution for providing high-speed mobile communications. It was developed to meet the growing demands for improving system coverage and increasing the throughput of communication operators.
External antennas – 5G antennas are of great importance in cellular communication networks. They also provide a reliable and high-quality signal in large areas and difficult conditions.
Internal antennas – provide 5G signal distribution in public places such as shopping centers, airports and other enclosed spaces.
If 4G mobile internet operates at a speed of 100–150 Mb/s, then 4G+ mobile internet operates at a speed of 300 Mb/s.
5G is the latest generation of mobile communications used in practice. It is also a wide bandwidth that allows receiving and transmitting signals at speeds up to 1 (one) Gb/s.
One of the main features of the new technology is its ability to connect up to 100 thousand devices per square kilometer.
5G technology has a new innovative capability to manage "smart" city and "smart" home systems, as well as the operation of industrial complexes, healthcare, education, industry and agriculture through a digital system. This includes:
-
4K live streaming;
-
Remote assistance, remote surgery, remote conferencing;
-
Plant health monitoring, video surveillance;
-
Remote mining and autonomous (self-directed) control;
-
Turkmenbashy International Seaport: remote crane control;
-
Inspection, monitoring and protection using drones.
In addition, as a "smart home" system, 5G serves as a necessary connection that provides high-speed information transfer to maintain rapid and continuous communication between household conditions. 5G technology will include devices connected to the Internet and will operate in online mode.
Thanks to the implementation of the appropriate high-speed Internet system in the city of Arkadag, the capabilities of 5G technology will cover all corners of the city, which in turn will ensure the harmonious and correct execution of work carried out in this direction.
In the near future, the 5G technology station in the city of Arkadag will be installed and launched by the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency.
The implementation of the 5G system in the city of Arkadag will not only be an important step for the city, but also the beginning of the spread of this technology throughout the country. This will allow Turkmenistan to strengthen its position in the international arena as a state actively implementing innovations.
