The visa-free policy for foreigners and other measures are revitalizing China's tourism industry

A visa-free policy for foreigners in China, implemented by the country's government, has significantly revitalized the tourism industry, according to CGTN.

This decision was made in response to the growing interest in China as a tourist destination, especially during the winter season, when many foreigners seek to visit unique cultural and natural attractions.

According to experts, international tourism in China has reached over 90% of pre-pandemic levels. The visa-free period, which can last up to 240 hours, allows foreign tourists to freely explore the capital and other key cities. For example, Beijing has become a popular destination due to cultural sites such as the 798 Art District. During the New Year holidays, approximately 100,000 people gathered there in a single night. Furthermore, Chinese culture, presented through video games and short videos, is attracting the attention of young people around the world, creating new opportunities for cultural exchange.

An important aspect is also the development of infrastructure and the creation of new tourist brands, such as the Ice City in Harbin. Local authorities and provinces, such as Hunan, offer additional incentives, including free accommodation and meals for foreign guests. All these measures are aimed at making 2025 a landmark year for China's tourism industry.
