Japanese scientists have created a unique drug for growing teeth

Japanese scientists have developed a unique innovative drug that allows you to grow new teeth. This was reported by Agence France-Presse.

According to the agency, this drug can become an alternative to dentures and implants. The head of the research group, Katsu Takahashi, noted that this is a completely new technology for the global scientific community.

On September 1, Japanese scientists from Kyoto University began clinical trials of a drug for tooth regeneration, this was reported on the Kitano Hospital website. They will be completed in August 2025. If everything goes according to plan, the drug will go on sale in 2030. The study will involve 30 men aged 30 to 65 years who are missing at least one molar. After completing the first stage of testing, the drug will be tested on patients aged 2 to 7 years who have been missing at least four teeth since birth.
