In Moscow, the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan was presented to the Russian archaeologist Viktor Pilipko
27.12.2024 | 12:15 |On December 26, in Moscow, a solemn ceremony of presenting the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan "Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna" to the Russian scientist, leading research fellow of the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Viktor Pilipko was held. The scientist was awarded the high award by the Decree of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his significant contribution to the study of the heritage of the Turkmen people.
Viktor Pilipko devoted many years to studying the history and culture of Turkmenistan. As an employee of the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, he took an active part in archaeological research and published more than 190 scientific works.
At the ceremony of presenting the medal, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev emphasized the importance of Viktor Pilipko's contribution to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries. The scientist himself expressed deep gratitude for the high assessment of his work and assured that he would continue his research in the field of Turkmen culture and history.
