President of Turkmenistan meets with representatives of American Business
17.12.2024 | 02:15 |On December 16, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, received Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmen-American Business Council, Chaba Leiko, President for Strategic Cooperation in Central Asia at John Deere, and Nikolai Yurchenko, Head of Westport Trading Europe, who arrived in the country to participate in the Turkmen-American Business Forum.
The businessmen confirmed the desire of U.S. business circles to further develop fruitful ties with Turkmenistan, which possesses substantial economic potential.
The head of state expressed confidence that the Turkmen-American Business Forum would contribute to the activation and strengthening of investment cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United States. Noting that during the visit, U.S. partners would have the opportunity to exchange views with Turkmen colleagues on promising areas of cooperation, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the talks would provide new momentum for enhancing mutually beneficial bilateral relations.
The President specifically highlighted the significant contribution of the long-standing Turkmen-American Business Council to the development of the partnership. The Council has become an effective tool for establishing and strengthening contacts between the economic structures of both countries.
During the conversation, the most promising areas of cooperation were identified, including the oil and gas sector, energy, renewable energy, transport and communications, agriculture, and high technologies, as reported by Turkmenistan’s State Television and Radio Broadcasting.
The head of state confirmed Turkmenistan’s interest in expanding mutually beneficial cooperation with American companies and expressed readiness to consider their specific proposals.
