The President of Turkmenistan received the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia
On December 11, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Ms. Terhi Hakala, who is completing her mission as the European Union Special Representative for Central Asia.
During the meeting, it was noted that bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the European Union have recently taken on a multifaceted character. Our country successfully cooperates with the European Union in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The productivity of cooperation with the European Union within the framework of long-standing programs and projects aimed at the socio-economic development of our country was also emphasized.
In this regard, the head of state highlighted the successful implementation of projects in the fields of legislation, science and education, agriculture, environmental protection, and climate change mitigation, and reaffirmed the country's readiness to further strengthen effective relations with the European Union.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed his gratitude to Ms. Terhi Hakala for her personal contribution to the development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the EU, wishing her good health and further success in her work.
