10.12.2024 | 11:00 |A new textbook “Modern Russian Language. Syntax of word combination and simple sentence (authors: N. Titova, G. Goleyeva - A.: Turkmen State Publishing Service)”.
This is an important step in the implementation of a number of key documents, such as the “Concept for Improving teaçhing of Foreign Language” and the “Concept for Improving Teaching Methods in General Education Programs in Turkmenistan until 2028”, which necessitated a new approach to training highly professional staff, updating the structure and content of the entire teaching process, creating new curricula, textbooks and teaching aids, improving and modernizing their content, and introducing interactive teaching methods.
The published textbook “Modern Russian Language. Syntax of word-combination and simple sentence” is intended for the organization of independent work of students of philology, future teachers of Russian language, as well as for those who study Russian as a foreign language. This determines the peculiarities of its structure and content. Unlike traditional textbooks on syntax, which include either only theoretical information or theoretical information and exercises, the above textbook contains the whole complex of materials necessary for initial acquaintance with the basic syntactic units and for mastering their main features: information on theory and a system of practical and control tasks of different types. It can also be used as a precursor or supplement to other textbooks and educational and scientific publications.
The textbook includes a description of the two main syntactic units and consists, respectively, of two sections: syntax of a word combination and syntax of a simple sentence. For each syntactic unit, its structure (grammatical form) and content (grammatical meaning) are analyzed in accordance with the structural-semantic approach.
Each section includes brief information on the theory necessary for understanding the basic properties of the syntactic unit and allowing further expansion of the range of information about this unit and a more detailed and in-depth consideration of the relevant linguistic material. The theoretical material is supplemented by samples of syntactic units analysis.
After the information on theory, a system of exercises is offered, built on the principle “from simple to complex”, which allows the student to comprehend the basic concepts and continue their mastering from the elementary and necessary to the more difficult and often requiring assistance from the teacher.
The material of the textbook assumes full compliance with the standard program of the modern Russian language. The source of factual material is text extracts from Russian writers and poets, periodicals, proverbs and sayings.
After completing all the tasks proposed to characterize a word combination and a simple sentence, students will deepen and consolidate theoretical knowledge and learn to use this or that syntactic unit correctly.
The textbook offers an appendix with schemes and samples of parsing word combinations and simple sentences, which will help to consolidate the theoretical material.
