09.12.2024 | 10:05 |Turkmenistan was represented at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State and Public Television and Radio Organizations of the member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Administrative Council of the Interstate Information Pool of the CIS Member States (IIP). This is reported by the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The meeting was held in the format of a video conference call.
The meeting was also attended by plenipotentiary representatives from Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, as well as the Interstate Television and Radio Company Mir (MTRK Mir), the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (IFGS), the CIS basic organization in the field of personnel training for MEDIA – the Federal State Budgetary educational institution of additional professional education "Academy of Media Industry" (Academy of Media Industry) and the CIS Executive Committee.
Representatives of Turkmenistan, together with colleagues from Uzbekistan, participated as observers.
The year 2025 has been declared in the Commonwealth as the Year of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War - the Year of Peace and Unity in the Fight against Nazism. In this regard, this topic will become the central topic of future media projects of heads of TV and radio organizations of the Commonwealth countries.
The TV and radio organizations of the CIS countries were invited to produce a number of programs and documentaries dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, as well as to organize comprehensive coverage and information support in their countries of events related to the anniversary date.
The participants of the meeting were invited to actively participate in the coverage of the events of 2025, while using the Interstate Information Pool for the exchange of video materials. The pool's activities are an exemplary project of cooperation between the Commonwealth countries and enhance the potential for cooperation.
The participants of the meeting also considered the proposals of the Academy of Media Industry on the organization of training, retraining and advanced training of personnel in the field of mass media, discussed the possibilities of conducting appropriate courses in the short and medium term.
The next meeting of the heads of TV and radio companies of the Commonwealth countries is planned to be held in 2025 in the Republic of Tajikistan.
