New steps in the trade and economic relations of Turkmenistan and Jordan
27.11.2024 | 22:15 |The creation of a joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation and the establishment of partnerships between the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and Jordan to stimulate business activity were the central themes of the Turkmen-Jordanian consultations held on November 27 in an online format at the level of the foreign ministries of the two countries.
During the talks, diplomats discussed a wide range of issues, including the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in politics, economics, and the humanitarian sphere.
The sides emphasized the importance of regular high-level dialogue and active contacts between foreign ministries as the basis for strengthening mutual understanding and partnership.
Within the framework of the consultations, special attention was paid to issues of the international and regional agenda, as well as prospects for cooperation on the UN platform. Among the key topics of discussion was the creation of inter-parliamentary relations.
A separate item on the agenda of the talks was initiatives to expand cultural, educational, and tourist exchanges, as well as projects in the field of healthcare, according to a press release from the Turkmen foreign ministry.
