Turkmenistan participates in the international forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” in St. Petersburg
19.11.2024 | 17:45 |Today, 19 November, the III International Forum “Commonwealth of Fashion” started at the Tavrichesky Palace in St. Petersburg. The forum brought together more than 1.5 thousand representatives from the CIS countries, including Turkmenistan, as well as from the Republic of Angola, taking part in the event for the first time.
For two days, the participants are discussing topical issues of the fashion industry: development of the industry, government and investment support programs, introduction of innovations, staffing of enterprises and the influence of cultural traditions on modern trends. Turkmenistan, known for its rich traditions of textile production, demonstrates a unique national style of clothing at the forum.
The program includes plenary sessions, round tables and thematic exhibitions. Inna Svyatenko, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, noted that the forum helps strengthen intercultural ties, maintain traditional crafts and develop international cooperation. About 20 agreements between industry associations and enterprises are scheduled to be signed as part of the forum.
