Double diplomas and IELTS testing implementation: key topics of the meeting between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the british delegation

Ataev met with the Director of the British Consulate in Tashkent Denisa Waddingham at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of education, including the introduction of new teaching methods and development of English-language programs in educational institutions of Turkmenistan, the press service of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan reports.
Another important topic of the meeting was partnership ties between universities of Turkmenistan and Great Britain. They discussed the possibility of implementing double degree programs, which will allow students of both countries to get international recognition of their qualifications. This will also open new horizons for students seeking to receive education at the international level and master advanced educational methods.
Special attention was paid to the possible introduction in Turkmenistan of the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) - one of the world's most recognized international tests to assess the level of English language proficiency. IELTS results are accepted by more than 11,000 organizations around the world, including universities, employers and government agencies. The issue of creating conditions for passing this test in Turkmenistan was considered as an important step in improving the quality of English language education in the country.
Both sides confirmed their interest in long-term cooperation and exchange of experience in the field of education.
