An online course on public administration took place at the Academy of Public Service under the President of Turkmenistan
02.11.2024 | 11:20 |From 28 to 31 October 2024, the Academy of Public Service under the President of Turkmenistan hosted an online course on "International Commercial Arbitration and Mediation" as part of the USAID project "Public Administration in Turkmenistan" (GAT).
The training aims to meet the fundamental educational needs of participants and instructors regarding International Commercial Arbitration and Mediation. The online course was conducted by Diana Tsutieva, a partner in the International Litigation and Arbitration Department at “Foley Hoag”. She holds dual qualifications and has extensive experience in complex investment arbitrations and international public law issues, with a particular specialization in disputes related to energy and environmental matters.
The online course covered theses on arbitration terms and agreements, the doctrine of separation of arbitration agreements, choice of law in arbitration agreements, the New York Convention and other arbitration agreements, investment arbitrations, peculiarities of mediation and other relevant issues.
As is well known, the Academy of Public Service specializes in the training, professional development, and enhancement of civil servants. In this regard, the online training course is of significant, as the Academy places a strong emphasis on studying global experience in the field of public administration.
The USAID project "Public Administration in Turkmenistan," implemented in partnership with the Government of Turkmenistan, provides support in the areas of public administration, legislative processes, and socio-economic progress.
