Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation Esen Aydogdyev met on Friday, October 18, with head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo) Yevgeny Primakov.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed in detail the issues of intensifying bilateral relations in the field of humanitarian cooperation, which are of mutual interest, using the existing solid potential of opportunities. Primakov highly appreciated the dynamic development of relations between the two states in humanitarian areas, the Turkmen diplomatic mission reported.

Ambassador Aidogdyev spoke about the opening of the bust of Magtymguly Fragi in Moscow, about the successful high-level international forum "Interconnection of Times and Civilizations - the Basis of Peace and Development" in Ashgabat on October 11 with the participation of the heads of many states, as well as Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan on October 16-17.

The interlocutors agreed on the need to continue further development of cooperation, which is of mutual interest to scientific, educational and cultural institutions of the two countries and noted the mutual desire to interact in this direction.

The meeting took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding, the diplomatic mission added. The Turkmen Embassy in the Russian Federation also announced the transfer of anniversary copies of the collection of selected works by Magtymguly in Turkmen, Russian and English languages ​​to the library collections of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS), Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU), P. Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN), Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) and major libraries - the Russian State Library, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino, the State Public Historical Library of Russia, the M. Gorky Scientific Library of St. Petersburg State University, the Library of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Russian National Library (SPB), etc.
