 Rashid Meredov meets with the ambassadors of China, the United States, Russia and Mongolia

On Wednesday, 18 September, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov met with the ambassadors of China, the United States, the Russian Federation and Mongolia at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan to discuss key aspects of bilateral cooperation with these countries.

In particular, the meeting with Chinese Ambassador Qian Naicheng focused on political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian partnership, as well as preparations for joint events within the framework of the “Central Asia-China” format.

In a conversation with Elizabeth Rood, Ambassador of the United States of America, emphasis was placed on cooperation in the “C5+1” format, where participants cooperate on security, economic, energy and environmental issues. The sides noted the importance of continuing dialogue on a wide range of interaction.

With Ambassador of the Russian Federation Ivan Volynkin they discussed prospects for cooperation in political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as new areas of partnership.

Finally, the meeting with Dorj Bayarhuu, Ambassador of Mongolia, focused on the development of bilateral relations and preparations for the state visit of the President of Mongolia, Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh to Turkmenistan, scheduled for this autumn.

Thus, all meetings emphasize the aspirations of Turkmenistan to strengthen and develop relations with key partners in various areas.
