The company «Спутниковая система «Гонец», part of the Roscosmos state corporation, has successfully completed testing of the new portable satellite terminal for personal communications, Gonets-Avtonomny. This is reported on the corporation's website.

The portable kit, weighing 3 kg, fits into a backpack and will be useful for anyone who is outside the service areas of terrestrial networks.

The Wi-Fi module in its composition ensures simultaneous work with the terminal from several smartphones or other devices that support Wi-Fi connection and any modern browser.

The system tested the transfer of various types of information, including text messages, files, images and coordinate data.

Testing of the device is completely completed. At the moment, the company is preparing for mass production of the device.
