The Royal Belgian Football Association to train Turkmen coaches and players
28.07.2024 | 19:15 |The Royal Belgian Football Association is ready to share its experience with its Turkmen colleagues. The possibilities of establishing formal relations and developing a solid platform for cooperation between the football federations of the two countries were discussed by Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Brussels Sapar Palvanov and Director of the RBFA Peters Willems.
The main focus was on establishing the first contact between the football federations of the parties. The potential for implementing joint projects covering the following key areas was considered:
Training of Turkmen coaches in Belgium: The initiative aims to improve the skills and knowledge of Turkmen coaches through training programmes practiced in Belgium.
Sending Belgian experts to Turkmenistan: Belgian football experts could be sent to Turkmenistan to provide on-site training and professional development to local coaches and players.
Training of football club directors: The programme will include training for football club directors in Turkmenistan, with a focus on both junior and professional clubs.
Match-specific training of Turkmen players: The programme will involve holding tailored training sessions to prepare Turkmen players for upcoming matches, using the expertise of Belgian coaches.
The meeting highlighted the prospects and mutual benefits of bilateral cooperation aimed at raising the level of football in Turkmenistan and strengthening ties between the football communities of both countries.
"Further steps include organizing video conferences and face-to-face meetings to discuss specific areas of cooperation, concluding bilateral agreements and planning joint projects aimed at developing football in our countries," the Turkmen diplomatic mission noted.
The Royal Belgian Football Association is the organization that oversees and manages football in Belgium. It is located in Brussels. The RBFA was founded in 1895 and became one of the founding members of FIFA (in 1904) and UEFA (in 1954). The association organizes the activities and manages the national football teams (men's, women's, and youth).
The men's and women's championships of Belgium, as well as many other competitions, are held under the auspices of the association.
Earlier, the first video meeting between the Football Federation of Turkmenistan and the Royal Netherlands Football Union took place.
