At the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), it unanimously adopted a resolution proposed by China to strengthen international cooperation in the field of building artificial intelligence capabilities. This was reported by the China Daily agency.

The document was supported by 140 countries.

The resolution “On strengthening international cooperation in the field of building the capacity of artificial intelligence” emphasizes that the development of artificial intelligence should be based on “human-centered principles”, promote useful intelligence and benefit humanity.

The document calls for international cooperation and practical action to help countries, especially developing ones, strengthen their AI capabilities, strengthen their representation and voice in global AI governance, advocate for an “open, fair and non-discriminatory business environment” and support the United Nations. which plays a central role in international cooperation.

The resolution aims to achieve inclusive, beneficial and sustainable development of AI, thereby contributing to the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
