Canada invests $2.4 billion in AI development

Thus, a Fund of 2.4 billion Canadian dollars (1.8 billion US dollars) will be launched.
The focus will be on expanding computing capabilities and technology infrastructure for AI researchers, startups and large companies. C$2 billion is planned for the creation of computing resources to accelerate research and development in this area.
The remainder of the funds will be used to accelerate the adoption of AI in various sectors of the economy, such as agriculture and healthcare, to improve productivity and stimulate economic growth.
It will also create a Canadian Institute for AI Safety with a budget of C$50 million to focus on research and development in the field of artificial intelligence safety.
Canada is also working to develop legislation to regulate the use of AI and data processing. The document is under consideration in the country's parliament.
