ChatGPT has become available without registration
03.04.2024 | 01:38 |ChatGPT developer OpenAI announced that since April 1, access to a chatbot with generative artificial intelligence is available to users without registration. The company explained the decision by the need to maximize access to ChatGPT.
"Starting today, you can use ChatGPT instantly, without having to register. We are implementing this feature gradually to make AI accessible to everyone who is interested in its capabilities," OpenAI said in a press release.
"The main objective of our mission is to make tools like ChatGPT widely available so that people can experience the benefits of AI. More than 100 million people in 185 countries use ChatGPT every week to learn something new, find creative inspiration and get answers to their questions."
Meanwhile, the company clarified that creating an account using ChatGPT will allow you to save and view the history of your requests, as well as unlock additional functions, including voice communication with the bot and the use of special instructions.
The first version of ChatGPT, which OpenAI has been developing since 2015, was launched on November 30, 2022. In February 2023, according to OpenAI, the number of users of the GPT-4-based chatbot, launched in the same year, reached 100 million people. A new version of GPT-5 may be released this summer, Business Insider reported, citing sources close to OpenAI.
