Turkmenistan Entrepreneurship Exhibition: How a flexible business strategy leads to success
18.03.2024 | 01:39 |The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan is holding an exhibition dedicated to the 16th anniversary of its formation. The review of the potential of domestic business is taking place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where more than 230 private companies, individual enterprises and manufacturers, including “locomotives” and “newcomers” of the market, presented their products and services.
Every year, the UIET exhibition in March reflects current trends and tendencies shaping the country’s business landscape. Now this is an emphasis on the development of knowledge-intensive and high-tech import-substituting and export-oriented industries, highly qualified and in-demand services in the field of IT, construction, consulting, education, design, etc.
Activities in the field of development of the country's natural resources and the creation of products with high added value are also expanding, and the segmentation of the industrial sector, where clear leaders have emerged in different directions continues. Personalization is increasing in the art and crafts sector and the fashion industry, with more startups focusing on the green economy.
Steady growth dynamics are maintained by entrepreneurship and forms of public-private partnership in the transport and logistics sector, which are coming to the fore in the context of intensifying foreign trade and economic relations.
Today, there are not many niches of the consumer market left where Turkmen producers have not supplanted their foreign counterparts. Competition drives innovation, and with experience comes quality - in this regard, Turkmen business successfully interacts with developers and suppliers of advanced technologies and equipment in a variety of areas: from the chemical industry to perfumes, household appliances to smart electronics and mobile gadgets.
At the same time, traditionally strong sectors in the non-state sector remain such industries as agriculture - crop production, livestock breeding and processing of their products, as well as aquaculture.
What is also interesting at this exhibition is how Turkmen businesses are developing new ways to interact with “today’s” consumers, who are significantly different from “yesterday’s”, as they increasingly order online, expect more and compare with competitors, creating an environment in which bold players can bring something qualitatively new to the market – and at the same time fundamentally reconsidering its offerings in response to changes in demand.
The exhibition of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs will last until March 19.
