Oriented on making people closer

Considered one of the most promising architects of the new wave, Andrea Caputo, the author of a number of projects around the world and with professional offices in Shanghai and Milan, visited Ashgabat, becoming an ambassador for Italian Design Day 2024.

As part of this initiative, the Italian Embassy organized conferences at the Institute of Architecture and Civil Engineering, the Academy of Arts, Magtymguly State University and the International University for Humanities and Development, where the famous architect gave lectures and answered questions from students.

Meetings with his participation were also held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and at the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the country.

The events held in Ashgabat as part of the Italian Design Day 2024 are organized in the context of the establishment of the National Day of Made in Italy to recognize the value and special qualities of Italian works and products in economic and cultural development.

This day will be celebrated on April 15, the 572nd anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci. He was an artist, sculptor and writer, and invented the tank, helicopter, parachute and wheel lock for firearms. During his life, he changed a dozen professions and achieved success in all of them, demonstrating examples of universal Italian quality as a manifestation of art and creativity.
