The heads of two Turkmen universities - the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Oguz Han University of Engineering and Technology visited the Technical University of Graz, Austria, on Monday, March 11.
Rector of the IIR Ministry of Foreign Affairs Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiev and Rector of IETU Gurbanmyrat Mezilov got acquainted with the scientific activities of the higher educational institution, its campuses and the organization of the educational process. During negotiations with the leadership of the Graz Technical University, they discussed issues related to establishing cooperation in the field of education and science, joint seminars, scientific research, and the exchange of educational materials.

Following the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Oguz Han University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan and the Graz Technical University.
TU Graz offers a number of training programs in the fields of engineering, architecture, natural sciences and computer science. He is known for his focus on research and innovation in engineering and technology. The University has several research institutes and centers, including the Connecting-Austria Center for Advanced Materials, the Institute of Powertrains and Automotive Technology, and the Institute of Structural Engineering.

In recent years, TU Graz has been ranked among the best universities in Austria and Europe for its research and academic excellence. The university employs international students and researchers from more than 100 countries.
Rectors of Turkmen universities are part of a delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov, who is on a visit to Austria on March 11-13.
