During the first 11 months of 2025, the volume of transit oil from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan transported via the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan (BTC) route exceeded 3.7 million tons. According to Azerbaijan’s State Statistics Committee, this accounts for nearly 15% of the total oil volume shipped through this pipeline.
Overall, from January to November, more than 33.4 million tons of crude oil were transported through Azerbaijan’s pipeline system. The main flow passes through the BTC pipeline, a strategic route stretching 1,768 kilometers. The pipeline connects the Caspian region with the Mediterranean Sea, providing access to global markets via the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
The growth in transit volumes confirms Baku’s role as a key logistics hub for Central Asian energy resources. For the region, this means greater stability of export routes and the continued development of economic cooperation among Caspian countries.
