The plan for the development of Eurasian transport corridors has been approved
08.12.2023 | 14:59 |A comprehensive plan for the development of Eurasian transport corridors until 2025 has been approved. This is reported on the official website of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The document approved by the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission includes 10 events and is aimed at implementing key provisions of the EAEU transport policy. It has been prepared in accordance with the roadmap for the implementation of the Main Directions and stages of the coordinated transport policy of the EAEU countries for 2021-2023.
In particular, target indicators for the development of Eurasian transport corridors will be developed and passports of these routes will be prepared.
«This is a very important document for our countries. It is necessary for the further formation of the unified transport space of the EAEU, the integration of the transport systems of the five countries into the global transport system, the realization and development of transit potential within the Union,» commented Minister of Energy and Infrastructure of the EEC Arzybek Kozhoshev.
When developing the plan, information on the EAEU countries on the development of road, railway and port infrastructure included in the list of Eurasian transport corridors was taken into account.
