 Telecom companies and smartphone makers from around the world are participating in 6G trials in China

A number of Chinese and foreign telecom companies and smartphone makers have taken part in China's 6G technical trials in 2023, China daily reports.

According to Wang Zhiqin, head of the IMT-2030 (6G) promotion group, the state platform for promoting 6G in China, these include companies such as Nokia Bell, Ericsson, China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, Huawei, ZTE, Vivo and Inspur.

China's 6G development is based on the principle of open cooperation and aims to strengthen international cooperation. Telecom operators, equipment manufacturers and research institutes of the Celestial Empire have developed a document “6G Requirements and Design Recommendations”. It details the journey needed to achieve digital inclusion and flexible deployment of next-generation technology.

Commercialization of 6G is expected to occur by 2030, integrating the real and virtual worlds.
