Kazakhstan wants to build a ship repair and shipbuilding enterprise
03.12.2023 | 00:20 |President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, participating in the work of the SOR28 World Climate Summit in Dubai, attended the signing ceremony of a number of agreements between government agencies and business structures of Kazakhstan and other countries, the press service of Akorda reported on Saturday, December 2.
In particular, an Agreement on principles for the establishment of a ship repair and shipbuilding enterprise in Kazakhstan was signed between JSC NC KazMunayGas and AD Ports Group.
In accordance with the Agreement, the parties will create a joint working group to study the issue of the possible construction of a ship repair and shipbuilding enterprise on the coast of the Caspian Sea in Kazakhstan.
Abu Dhabi Ports Group has also signed an agreement with JSC NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy on the establishment of a joint venture.
In addition, an intergovernmental agreement was signed between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UAE on the implementation of a wind power plant project (1 GW), a Memorandum between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Samruk-Kazyna JSC and the UAE Ministry of Investment on mutual understanding on the development of low-carbon energy with a total capacity of 10 GW in Kazakhstan and other documents.
