Ashgabat and Dushanbe conducted a reconciliation of bilateral cooperation and outlined new prospects
28.11.2023 | 20:46 |The 12th meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, scientific and technical cooperation was held in Dushanbe on November 27-28.
The meeting was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Tangryguly Atahalliyev and Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Ziezoda Sulaimon Rizoi.
The sides discussed a wide range of issues of trade, economic and investment cooperation, intensification of joint work in the field of energy and water resources, as well as agriculture, activation of partnership in the field of transport and logistics, development and deepening of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education, science, medicine, culture and sports, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.
The members of the IPC spoke in favor of expanding business ties, mutual acquaintance with products produced in the two countries, studying export-import opportunities and searching for new forms of promoting economic cooperation.
Following the meeting, the Protocol of the twelfth meeting of the Joint Turkmen-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation was signed.
The next, 13th meeting of the IPC is scheduled for 2024 in Ashgabat.
