Oriented on making people closer

Chairman of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova met on Monday, November 27, with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Turkmenistan Nicolaas Jacob Schermers, who presented her with his credentials.

On behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the head of the National Parliament congratulated the diplomat on his appointment and wished him success.

The Ambassador conveyed greetings from the top leadership of the Netherlands to the head of Turkmenistan, stressing that, fulfilling the important mission entrusted to him, he, for his part, will fully contribute to the progressive development of interstate relations.

The diplomat was informed in detail about the structure and activities of the Mejlis, about its role in providing a legislative and legal basis for large-scale transformations. The prospects of inter-parliamentary relations became the subject of an interested exchange of views.

The readiness of Turkmenistan and the Netherlands to intensify fruitful cooperation, both in bilateral and multilateral formats, through international organizations, including within the framework of the dialogue between our country and the European Union demonstrating positive dynamics, was confirmed.
