 By 2027, the entire population of Kazakhstan will be provided with high-speed Internet

By 2027, all citizens of Kazakhstan will have access to broadband Internet at a speed of at least 100 Mbit/s."

This is provided for by the national project "Accessible Internet", which was approved by the Government of Kazakhstan in order to fulfill the instructions of the President of the country Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the development of the Internet industry of the republic.

More than 1.5 trillion tenge will be allocated for the implementation of the project, which covers the period from 2024 to 2027. 1.3 trillion tenge of this amount are extra-budgetary funds. Thus, the development of wired and wireless communication infrastructure will be achieved in the republic, an extensive network of fiber-optic communication lines will be built in rural areas.

The national project also provides for the construction of a digital infrastructure to cover the republican and main regional highways with mobile Internet. For this purpose, 487 antenna-mast structures will be built, which will allow 17 thousand km of roads to be covered by mobile Internet.

The initiative is also aimed at supporting small and medium-sized telecom operators in order to provide high-speed Internet to about 400 thousand households. Moreover, by the end of 2025, it is planned to introduce 5G technology in all cities of republican significance and regional centers.
