Turkmen FC Ahal continues preparations for the home match against Saudi Arabian Al- Faiha, which will be held on September 19 as part of the first round of the AFC Champions League, the main club tournament in Asia.

The training process takes place on a specially equipped football field adjacent to the Ashgabat stadium. The team's coaching staff led by Serdar Geldiyev along with theoretical training conducts practical training for athletes. The team's preparation schedule for the upcoming match against the Saudi club has already been determined.

Let us remind you that at the group stage Ahal will meet with such teams as the Uzbek Pakhtakor, the Saudi Al Feiha and Al Ain from the UAE.

The group stage of Asia's most prestigious club tournament will take place from September 18 to December 13. From each zone (West and East), the leaders of five groups, as well as three second places with the best results, will advance to the 1/8 finals.

Note that for the first time since 2002/03, the tournament returned to the “autumn-spring” format. The Asian champion will qualify for the 2024 Club World Cup and will also have a chance to qualify for the next season's Champions League if they fail to make it through the national championship.

The first match of the Turkmen team against the Saudi Al-Faiha will take place on September 19 at 21:00 at the Ashgabat stadium. Tickets are already on sale.
