 Turkmen athletes won 72 medals at the Shotokan Karate World Championship

The 13th Shotokan Karate World Championship, which took place from September 8 to 10, has ended in Uzbek Tashkent.

For three days, about two thousand karate athletes from thirty countries contested medals among adult athletes, as well as cadets, juniors and athletes under 21.

The national karate team of Turkmenistan has won a total of 72 medals of various denominations at the world's largest tournament.

On the first day of the championship, Turkmen karate masters were awarded eight awards, on the second day - twelve.

The final day turned out to be the most eventful for awards, because athletes from Turkmenistan managed to win 52 medals of various denominations at once.

Thus, after the performance in Uzbekistan, the national karate team of Turkmenistan has 39 bronze awards, 20 silver medals and 13 medals of the highest dignity in the piggy bank.

Recall that the Turkmen delegation at the World Cup was represented by 85 people, including 64 athletes.
