Turkmen sambo wrestlers won five medals at the World Cup in Kyrgyzstan

The only silver medal in the treasury of the national team of Turkmenistan in the weight category up to 88 kg was brought by the representative of sports sambo Parahat Bashimov. In the final match, he lost to Shamil Hajiyev from Russia, thereby placing himself on the second place of the podium.
The bronze medal winners were: Muminjan Arzykulov (in the weight category up to 64 kg), and in combat sambo - Meylis Niyazmenliyev, Kerimberdi Dovletov (both in the weight up to 64 kg), Shatlyk Charyyev (in the weight up to 79 kg).
More than three hundred athletes from 11 countries took part in the championship: Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Israel, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Uzbekistan.
The medals of the World Cup were awarded in sports and combat sambo among men and women.
Two SAMBO World Cups will be held this year. The first of them was held in Kyrgyzstan in August, and the second one will be held in Serbian Novi Sad in September.
