The head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission discussed the development of cooperation with Azerbaijan

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Azerbaijan Gurbanmamet Elyasov discussed with the chairman of the Board of the Agency of Small and Medium-sized Businesses in the Republic Orhan Mammadov the prospects for expanding cooperation between the business circles of the two state kingdoms, Azertac reports.

During the meeting, the sides touched upon the issues of relations between Ashgabat and Baku. Azerbaijan is one of the most developed CIS countries, where an optimal investment climate is being formed.

The Azerbaijani agency aims to protect the interests of small and medium-sized entrepreneurs, monitor services, create a business environment, and finance projects in various fields, including cultural and humanitarian ones.

Economic ties between the countries are mainly based on fuel and energy ties: Turkmenistan supplies oil to the republic through the Caspian Sea, and also, starting from 2021, carries out swap gas supplies through Iran.
