10.07.2023 | 20:55 |The Qaztrade Trade Policy Development Center, with the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, announced on Monday the start of the selection of companies for the Alibaba.com International Trading Platform. This was reported by the press service of the center.
In 2023, 70 companies in Kazakhstan will be provided with a Gold Supplier account on the Alibaba platform for a period of 1 year. Gold Supplier status for entrepreneurs provides access to a global audience and allows to increase the recognition and image of the manufacturer on the Alibaba.com platform.
According to Qaztrade, the Program provides training on working on the platform and promoting goods, full service and support when exporting products.
Last year, the national pavilion of Kazakhstan was opened on Alibaba.com. Thanks to cooperation with Alibaba, many Kazakhstani companies have mastered e-commerce channels as a tool for proactively promoting their products to foreign markets. The Country Pavilion includes 130 gold supplier companies with over 7,500 products for sale.
Alibaba is China's leading e-commerce marketplace with a turnover of $106 billion. The main activities are B2B trading between companies and online retail.
In addition, in May of this year, Kazakhstan opened a national pavilion on the Chinese JD.com. In the first hour of the launch of the National Pavilion, more than 10,000 orders from Chinese buyers were received on the electronic platform. At the same time, 80% of the available goods were sold in record time.
JD.com (Jingdong Mall) is the largest online platform for the sale of goods and services in China, founded in 1998. Over 400 million people are users of the online retailer's platform. In 2022, JD.com ranked first among Chinese online marketplaces in terms of revenue.
