Oriented on making people closer

The new city of Arkadag, inaugurated on June 29, has received international recognition for its outstanding efforts in the field of sustainable urbanization. The city's commitment to creating an environmentally friendly and socially inclusive urban environment has been highly appreciated by the international community.

As part of the opening of the city of Arkadag, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and numerous foreign guests, a ceremony of awarding international certificates confirming the achievements of the new city in various fields was held.

Among them: A Certificate of Appreciation from the Economic Cooperation Organization for the high-class construction of a modern city with the optimization of technologies, functions and resources to improve the quality of life of the population; A special certificate "City of the XXI century" from the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY); A certificate "The first smart City of the Turkic World" from the Organization of Turkic States; A diploma from the International Assembly of Capitals and large cities of the CIS; special award from the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World; UNIDO Certificate for contribution to the creation of an intelligent city using digital technologies in order to promote inclusive and sustainable industrial development and achieve the 2030 Agenda, etc.

The city of Arkadag was also awarded special certificates by UNEP, ESCAP, UN Habitat, the Global Institute for Green Growth, the Central Research and Design Institute of the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the A. Nazarov Institute of Geophysics and Engineering Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, a diploma from the International Association of Unions of Architects.

In addition, the certificate "The most numerous gardening lesson with the participation of 539 people" of the Guinness Book of Records was awarded.

Certificates were received by the multidisciplinary hospital of the city of Arkadag – from KTQ International (Germany) and from Philips (the Netherlands). Congratulatory messages on the occasion of the opening of the "smart city" with implemented digital systems were sent by the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, the Organization of the League of Arab States for Education, Culture and Science.

Two proclamations were also presented that June 29, 2023 is the "Arcadag City Day" in the California city of El Cajon and at the University of Lincoln, USA.
