Turkmen Ministry of Finance and Swiss SICPA are set on long-term partnership
30.01.2020 | 15:09 |A memorandum of understanding on strategic partnership was signed between the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and SICPA Company, Switzerland. The partnership covers such areas as security technologies, including authentication and security solutions for currencies and sensitive documents, brand protection and traceability solutions, secure traceability to combat smuggling and other illegal trade as well as a program of anti-corruption measures.
“Turkmenistan is a strategically important partner for us in the region and it has favorable geo-economic condition,” Philippe Amon, SICPA President, siad in an interview with ORIENT right after the signing ceremony with the Minister of Finance and Economy Batyr Bazarov.
The guest emphasized that the leadership of the country is very interest in the company’s products and in the introduction of modern forms of management in the state sector.
- Therefore, we would like to become a technological partner of Turkmenistan. We are confident that we can contribute in this direction, and we hope to establish mutually beneficial cooperation,” Mr.Amon pointed out.
SICPA was founded in 1927 and the company is a long-trusted advisor to governments, central banks, high-security printers and industry. SICPA provides more than 85 percent of the world’ currency inks. The company is also involved in the market for secure traceability of products – these technologies are used in more than 20 countries, including the USA, Canada, Denmark, Brazil and Malaysia.
Headquartered in Switzerland, today, SICPA is an international organization with offices in 31 countries and with employees in 50 countries worldwide.
“This is my first visit to Turkmenistan, and its main goal is to establish long-term cooperation with the government, joint development of solutions for digital and products security that would enable Turkmenistan to facilitate trade on both global level and home market,” Philippe Amon said.
“We are ready to promote our know-how and thereby contribute to the industrialization and digitization processes of your country,” the head of SICPA noted.
