South Korean Daewoo E&C to build two plants in Turkmenistan
27.04.2023 | 16:12 |The South Korean company Daewoo E&C, in cooperation with the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya", is working on projects for the construction of two plants in Turkmenistan, the raw material for the production of which will be natural gas.
The presentations of these projects at the oil and gas investment forum in Dubai were made by the head of the foreign marketing department of this company, Min Manjun.
One of them is a plant for the production of ammonia and carbamide with a capacity of 660,000 tons per year and 1155 tons per year, respectively. It will be located in the Balkan region.
The second project is a plant for the production of phosphate fertilizers with a capacity of 300 thousand tons per year at the Turkmenabat chemical plant in the Lebap region.
The domestic resource base allows Turkmenistan to become a competitive producer and exporter of mineral fertilizers, and also determines the investment attractiveness of this industry.
According to Min Manjun, at the moment, the company's specialists have carried out all the detailed studies, meetings and negotiations with representatives of the concern, financial institutions, at the moment the licensee is being selected.
― We want to become reliable partners of Turkmenistan in matters of monetization of hydrocarbon raw materials, - Min Manjun said.
