 Turkmenbashi seaport confirmed compliance with international ISO standards

The International seaport of Turkmenbashi has confirmed compliance with the international standards "ISO 9001:2015 — Quality Management System", "ISO 14001:2015 — Environmental management System" and "ISO 45001:2018 — Occupational health and safety Management Systems".

The audit of the seaport on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea was conducted by CERT International (Slovakia) and issued the appropriate certificates to the port.

The documents received show that the Turkmenbashi seaport provides a high level of service provision, takes into account the needs and expectations of customers, and also strives to continuously improve its own activities.

The introduction of ISO standards will help to increase confidence in the activities of the Turkmenbashi International Port from potential partners, reduce costs through optimization and standardization of processes, increase the level of environmental protection and competitiveness of the seaport on the international market.

The Turkmenbashi International Seaport entered 8nto operation in May 2018. The complex includes a general cargo terminal, a passenger and ferry terminal, a bulk cargo terminal, a container terminal and a polypropylene terminal. The port has bandwidth of 4 million tons of cargo per year.

In the future, the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi plans to receive the EcoPort certificate of the EcoPort Suistanable Logistic Chain organization. This will contribute to improving the environmental safety and efficiency of the port, as well as strengthening its competitiveness at the regional and international level.
